Notes for Samul (Samuel) Crippin (B)
Guess that this is the 1900 Samuel Crippin (b 1873 vs mar 1872)69
living beside several families of Logans (B) in 190069

Jane H. living as a widow with 7 children in 191070

could be that the following refers not to this Sameul, but to Samuel, b 1842, son of Wilson. But my bet is this Samuel, because he is the only Samuel Crippen (b ca 1872) in the 1900 Census (CI, family #138).
*Crippen*, Samuel - Black - PE 18 Mar 1905 & PE 15 Apr 1905.
Samuel Crippen, an industrious and respected colored man, while on the way in his bateau to the oyster grounds in the bay last week, was knocked overboard by the boom and drowned. His body to this time has not been found.
